Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese origin and grew up during the war in Vietnam. Her father Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family that has long-standing roots in the American South. Olivia's parents divorced when she was just two years old and she was raised by her stepfather and mother, an active member of the United States Air Force. She was raised primarily in Tokyo, Japan, even when the family moved a lot. When she was in Japan, she acted as an actress at local shows and eventually became a Japanese fashion model. Olivia relocated from the United States back to Los Angeles and pursued the dream of becoming an actor. Then, after some small roles in TV programs featuring Hawaii lense (such like Beyond the Break), she was able to land the role of Mily Acuna, and was offered Rob Schneider's receptionist for Big Stan. She hosts "The Daily Nut", "Formula D" and "The Formula D Podcasts" on G4. Her passion for surfing is something she's continued since the 2006 TV program Beyond the Break. She is also a black-belt in taekwondo. In the year she turned two old, her mother was remarried again and this time with a member of the US Air Force. While the family moved several times, she was predominantly raised in Tokyo, Japan, where her stepfather's military was stationed. She attended her studies at University of Oklahoma, where she earned a degree in journalism. She also minored in Japanese as well as dramatic arts.
