Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and author who won several Awards. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most famous movies. New York was her home and she was raised in an artistic environment. In the beginning, she worked as a assistant in photography. Later on, her career shifted into directing and modeling. Her name was highlighted in her first two movies and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning her an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three years, she had been voted as the number one female box-office starter in the whole world. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were immortalized in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Other films she has appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as in the mini-series on TV The Winds of War. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
